Acts 3:19 19 wRepent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Lately there has been a lot of discussion at Parkview about revival, renewal, and restoration. This can also be known as a time of refreshing.
Do you believe as the scripture says? That we can have this time of refreshing. This refreshing refers to a restoration of strength and nourishment. Again I ask you do you believe this can happen? I pray that you have a genuine hope that something can happen and with that hope comes the desire to invest what is needed to see it happen. So the first element that we need to examine is HOPE. The Bible teaches that the Lord hears when his children cry out to him. The Bible teaches the right attitude in approaching God. This attitude depends on our spiritual condition. Humbleness with a repentant heart, boldness in seeking wisdom and the right path, and confidence that God will hear our prayers. If you truly believe, just as when you get physically hungry we eat; when we get spiritually hungry we will seek nourishment from the Lord. This nourishment comes from spending time in his word and spending time in worship. Then and only then can we see a true renewing of our strength. This will not be just an emotional high but a true transformation of our lives. Then when we come together we will see a true and real change in the life of the Church that God has put together at Parkview.
Take on the challenge of restoring your strength and nourishment from the Lord. There is no better time to be refreshed than now.
Serving you,
Brother Steven
